About FERN Psychology

Online psychotherapy clinic run by Mikael Färnkvist, leg. psychologist and leg. psychotherapist. Since 2002 I have worked with psychotherapy in psychiatry, primary care and in private practice. This has given me a broad experience and a way of working that is based on the individual client’s needs, life situation and circumstances. My training is psychodynamic but I am also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy and use the methods integratively.

Important starting points for my work are the importance of individual history and will in the difficulties and conflicts that can arise within an individual person, in the family, relatives and other relationships such as at work, but also in the individual’s relationship with society. I am particularly interested in issues related to the development of independence, belonging and participation, relationships, the experience of meaning and family issues.

Member of the Swedish Psychological Association and follows the professional ethics for psychologists in the Nordic countries. Member of the psychologist companies.
